From December 2–9, 2021, Remember the Women Institute will be presenting a She’s Gone mini-exhibition at the Strongin Collection art gallery, 1631 Wisconsin Avenue NW, Georgetown, in Washington, D.C., with an opening event at 6:30 PM on December 2.
Remember the Women Institute, in partnership with the Strongin Collection, She’s Gone, and the Moment Gallery of Moment Magazine, and in cooperation with the Embassy of Israel to the United States, is bringing part of Israeli artist Keren Goldstein’s She's Gone art installation to Washington, D.C. The mini-exhibition will run through December 9. The She's Gone art installation, featuring the clothing of Israeli murder victims of intimate partner violence, speaks on behalf of all innocent victims of violence inflicted by spouses or other family members. Remember the Women Institute is adding to this exhibition two victims’ garments from the United States, those of Jana Lynn Mackey and Simeonette (Sissy) Mapes.
NOTE: Proof of vaccination and masks are required to enter the gallery, which is one flight up.
On Tuesday, December 7, at 4:30 PM EST, the Moment Gallery of Moment Magazine, the Strongin Collection, and the Israel Embassy will join us to present a related webinar, featuring She’s Gone creator Keren Goldstein and an expert on domestic violence. You will receive a registration link in about two weeks. Otherwise, please contact info@rememberwomen.org for a registration link and further information.
