Exactly seven years ago, the first national law in China's history against domestic violence was passed.

According to studies, at least one woman out of four in China has fallen victim to violence over various issues within the family, at one point or another in her life. In rural areas the rate is higher and stands at two out of three women.

As in any other country, domestic violence is prevalent in China as well, and there is no doubt that the situation has worsened greatly during the long lockdowns following the corona virus.

Never before has our installation been shown without us.

The victims' garments were packed by loving and caring hands in the hope that the global problem, including in China, will lead to the eradication of violence in the family and against women.

We call to all policy makers to preserve the integrity of the body and soul of every women, and their children.

Everyone has the right to feel safe and free in their own home.

Many thanks to the Embassy of Israel for the great effort in presenting the victims’ garments, and for the opportunity to help the voices of those who are no longer with us heard.
